Boudoir Photography Network

I wrote an article about enhancing your own self-confidence with a boudoir photo session for the Boudoir Photography Network. I can’t tell you how many women I have come in to do photos for their guy, but realized afterward it turns into a gift of self-esteem for themselves.

The article is wonderful – and so very true. I recommend the experience of a boudoir photo shoot to every woman. The confidence it gave me in my body is life-changing. If more women did this, think of the widespread effect it would have in our world!

L’s Boudoir Experience | Calgary Boudoir Photography

How did you prepare for your boudoir photo shoot?
I had my fiance pick out a few of his favourite outfits and also bought some new things. On the day of my boudoir photo session, I grabbed one of his work shirts to give the session a more personal touch. Up to the session date, I...

All the stories are great, it’s hard to choose! Good luck ladies.

Mary Fletcher Jones - February 14, 2010 - 3:32 pm

Those are all touching stories. I don’t know how you’ll chose. It seems almost universal that women worry so much about how they appear (being in my mid-forties and overweight, I can relate. I think one of the best things about boudoir is that it can confer on a woman the gift of self-acceptance, and even more, pride in appearance. Once you realize how beautiful you really are on the outside, which is a reflection of the love and good feelings you have on the inside, those old worries about stretch marks, wrinkles, and less-than-flat bellies start to fade. Stretch marks and wrinkles can be seen like medals or badges of honor, earned through bearing and raising children, or nurturing in other ways. Differences to be celebrated rather than airbrushed away. A few extra pounds remind us of how soft we are to hold, and how yielding and generous our natures are.
