Of course Switzerland is known for it’s cheese and chocolate and one of highlights of our time there was visiting the medieval town of Gruyere (cheese) and the town of Broc (chocolate). Montreux is also where the world-famous annual Jazz Festival is held and our visit there coincided with the event.
First we visited the capital city of Bern. The bear is a common theme here because the city was supposedly named after one. This bear pit has existed since the 16th century. This bear is snacking on fruit which tourists were allowed to drop into the pit.
