Why did you decide to do a boudoir session?
I wanted to do this session for myself and for a wedding gift for my fiance. I thought it was a unique gift for him. Also, having three kids has done lovely things to my body, so i wanted something to make me feel beautiful again.

Why did you choose TAIT Photography for your boudoir shoot?
Tait seemed so professional and laid back. Erica was great and made me very comfortable.

How did you prepare for your boudoir photo session?
Well I was not sure what to expect so basically I prepared by trying to remain calm and not nervous! I went out and purchased a few clothes that I felt would make me sexy!

Who are your boudoir photos for?
The images are for my fiance for his wedding present. I do not know how he will react but I’m hoping that he will love the images. It took a lot of courage for me to do this.

How was  your boudoir experience?
It was a great experience! At first I was very nervous and self-conscious but Erica made me very relaxed and told me exactly what I needed to do. She was great. After seeing the pictures it was a true self-esteem booster.

How do you feel about your boudoir images?
I am very happy with the images. I did not know I could look so elegant, feminine, and beautiful. I really like the images where I’m laying down and my legs are up on the damask wall. They look very elegant.

Do you have an interesting story?
The most interesting part was trying to keep this from my fiance. I told him that I was going to a bridal show with my sister in law. Of course the one time I was lying, he seemed to ask a lot of questions like why on a weeknight and why did I shave just to go out!! It was hard keeping it from him. I had to stash the bag of clothes somewhere that he could not see me leaving the house with it.  I could imagine trying to explain why I was leaving with a bag of lingerie.

Why should women book a boudoir photo shoot?
It makes you feel beautiful no matter what. Us women these days have a terrible self-image. I do not think we understand how beautiful we can be through someone else’s eyes. Especially having children can really make you uncomfortable with your body. After seeing the images it really helps to feel beautiful again. I am so excited to give these to him on our wedding day! I hope in 20 yrs he can look back and see how beautiful I once was!

Why did you decide to do a boudoir session?
I checked out the website and really liked the tastefulness and look of the pictures. I really liked how the women featured were all shapes and ages and that they all looked beautiful!

Why did you choose TAIT Photography?
I had seen several photographers with boudoir-type sessions, but the look was never right – too cheesy, not classy, too overtly sexual. When I saw Erica’s work I loved it right away – the look was elegant, classy and sensual. If someone from work saw it, I would not be embarrassed. I really liked her backdrops and the angles that Erica uses.

How did you prepare for your boudoir photoshoot?
I treated myself to a spa day.

Who are your boudoir photos for?
I wanted the images for my husband for our anniversary. He always makes me feel beautiful and I thought that he would enjoy them as I am very conservative and would not normally do anything like this.

How was your boudoir experience?
I was nervous when I got there but the make-up artist, and Erica put me right to ease. I liked the location and felt very comfortable right away. Erica was very professional when she reviewed the outfits that I brought and she was open to providing input as to what she felt would look best visually.

How do you feel about your boudoir photos?
I was delighted with them! So much that I showed them to a few friends because I wanted them to go and have it done also! I was amazed at how great the pictures turned out and I know that my husband will be delighted with them.

Why should other women do a boudoir shoot?
I would recommend this to anyone as I feel that Erica’s talent is such that any woman will leave happy with the session. I am not a beautiful person but I was so delighted with the results that I wanted to share them with everyone. I have never felt so beautiful, not even on my wedding day. Every woman deserves an opportunity to feel that way regardless of whether it’s for them or for someone else. I plan on returning and getting photos that I can share done because Erica is so talented that I know I will really like them and that they will be the best photos of me.

Why did you decide to do a boudoir session?
As a sex & relationship author-expert, I have told many women to have boudoir photographs done to “spice up” their marriage and, as importantly, increase their sexual confidence; however, I had never actually had these kinds of photos taken of myself. I thought it was time I took some of my own advice.

I chose TAIT photography because of Erica’s reputation and outstanding product.

How did you prepare for your boudoir photo session?
I tried to “have fun with it,” and not go into it with any preconceived notions of how bad I would look! I also purchased new lingerie.

Who are your boudoir photos for?
They are for my husband. I think he will be thrilled — he asks me, on a daily basis, when the pics are coming.

How was  your boudoir experience?
The experience was far more enjoyable than I thought it would be. Erica “coaches” every step of the way. It was relaxed and fun.

How do you feel about your boudoir images?
I love my images. My favourite pics are the ones where I’m lying on my back with my hair spread out.

Why should women book a boudoir photo shoot?
Because every woman deserves to look and feel like a bedroom supermodel, at least once in her life!

Why did you want to do a boudoir photo session?
I wanted to be able to see myself as a beautiful, sexy and confident woman. Boudoir photography captures this like no other photography experience. I was also lucky enough to be chosen as the winner for the 2010 Valentines contest. My husband enjoyed these pictures as a special treat for our 15 year Anniversary which we celebrated this past June.

Why did you choose TAIT Photography?
As I was searching for boudoir photography sites on the internet, something about TAIT Photography stood above the rest. I loved Erica’s pictures on the website and blog. I also read all the positive feedback comments.

How did you prepare for your boudoir photo shoot?
Before my session, I had my nails done by a professional. I also was so glad to have hair and makeup completed before the shoot. I attempted to get a little sun but not a fake tan. In addition, I purchased a variety of outfits for the shoot. Since the pictures were for my husband, I did take into consideration his favorite team jersey, and what HE might like to see. I also used the same veil from my wedding 15 years ago for some of the anniversary pictures.

Who are your boudoir photos for?
The photos are not only for myself but also for my wonderful husband. He was so thrilled to see the beautiful pictures. I was so impressed with the images and think they are amazing!! We will cherish these pictures forever.

How was your boudoir experience?
This was so exciting. I felt so comfortable during the shoot with Erica–she is really a wonderful person and photographer. I also wanted to go out and let everyone see how beautiful I felt in the inside and out. The makeup artist did a remarkable job with hair and make-up. There was no reason to be nervous at ALL.

How do you feel about your boudoir photos?
I love all my images. It is hard to pick a favorite. I felt incredibly sexy and confident in every picture.

Do you have an interesting story about your experience?
I think many women look for boudoir as a wedding gift for their fiance/husband. I say do it for ANY reason, no special occasion is needed. As for me, I am married 15 years with 3 children that was enough of a reason to get the pictures. Do it for yourself no matter what your current role: wife, mother, fiance, or even single!

Why should other women do a boudoir photography session for themselves?
This is a confidence booster for ANY woman and something to be so proud of doing for yourself!! I only wish I would have taken the pictures sooner, or when I got married 15 years ago. It would be neat to compare images from then and now 15 years apart. I highly recommend a session with TAIT Photography!!!

What made you want to have a boudoir session?
I have always wanted to get something like this done for my boyfriend – what guy wouldn’t want this done it’s the best gift! I wanted to do it for myself as well, to give me a boost of confidence and to do something different and out of the ordinary.

How did you prepare for the session?
I looked over the website a lot and e-mailed to ask questions. My girlfriends helped me shop for some lingerie I had certain outfits in mind so the shopping wasn’t hard to do!

Who are the images for?
My boyfriend, it was our two year anniversary that just passed and I’ve been wanting to get this done for him for a long time it was perfect timing.

Have you given your boudoir photos to your boyfriend yet? What did he think?
Yes I showed him the pictures I pulled up the one of me in his Monster jersey on the screen and when he walked in the door that’s the first thing he saw on the computer and I was wearing it too. At first he thought I had just taken the pictures myself but the closer he looked he saw they were way too good and that it was on the internet he was totally shocked! He loves them!

What did you think of the experience of having the images done?
I was nervous at first but getting the hair and makeup done helped it was fun and relaxing and I didn’t think I could look that pretty! So my confidence went up and I felt comfortable when Erica was taking the pictures I didn’t mind being in my underwear in front of her at all.

How do you feel about your images?
They’re great I didn’t want to look cheap lol and they certainly look how I expected – very classy and tasteful. I’m very happy with the results and I think I would do it again when I’m pregnant or if I loose weight as an accomplishment.

Which images are your favourites?
I really like all of them there were only about 5 pictures I didn’t add to my favorites. I think I really like the ones with my legs up I really like my legs and feet and so does my boyfriend. My other most favorite is in my purple colored outfit and you can’t see my face just my body I couldn’t believe that was me!

Is there any other info or interesting story about your experience?
I just want to say thank you to everyone that helped me feel the way I do and I have already told a bunch of my girlfriends about it so I think they will be signing up soon. It was a fun experience and I think it’s a great surprise for anyone to give to their spouse no matter what age, what size, you can show how beautiful you are.

What made you want to have the images done?
About 20 years ago, I thought it would be fun to do a boudoir photo session. I really enjoyed the experience (and now wanted to do it again), I felt Erica would provide a professional, yet fun and creative photo shoot for this most recent experience.

How did you prepare for your boudoir session?
This gave me a good excuse to go out and purchase some beautiful lingerie that I might not normally wear. Other than that, it was just a great experience to be there.

Have you given your husband the images yet, what did he think?
It was mostly his idea to do this photo shoot. I didn’t need a whole lot of prompting though! He has seen the proofs on the internet, so he is very pleased with what’s coming his way!

What did you think of the experience of having the images done?
It’s always a little intimidating to pose half naked in front of a stranger. In a very short time however, Erica made me feel very comfortable with my body. Some of the poses might have felt a little silly at the time, but when I saw how they transferred to film, I was very delighted with the results. I think it’s very empowering to lose oneself in front of the camera…then to see how Erica makes you look on film is to know how your partner really sees you.

How do you feel about your images?
We all have insecurities about our bodies..me, for sure. After seeing these pictures though…it gave me a better appreciation for how I should view myself. I am more than thrilled with results, and there isn’t really much more I can say besides that!

Which images are your favourites? I think I’m partial to the photos of me with the mirror behind me. It’s not often one gets to see how one looks from behind. Maybe I shouldn’t have worried so much! The pictures with me laying on my back are dreamy as well.

Is there any other info or interesting story about your experience?
I love how the pictures turned out…thanks! I can’t say I really have an interesting story yet…but who knows what will happen when I get my album.

How did you prepare for your boudoir photo shoot?
I had my fiance pick out a few of his favourite outfits and also bought some new things. On the day of my boudoir photo session, I grabbed one of his work shirts to give the session a more personal touch. Up to the session date, I was very busy and didn’t get around to tanning, but managed a pedicure and manicure. Right before my session I had the makeup artist do my hair and makeup. I loved the pampering and it was well worth it. I hardly ever wear makeup so it was nice to have someone else do it.

Who are these boudoir photos for?
My boyfriend and I got engaged in August and I wanted to give him an engagement gift that would be personal and mean something to him. Something he would look at and appreciate as much as I do my engagement ring. There couldn’t be anything more perfect than these photos. I signed up for that September and couldn’t wait!

Have you given your partner the images yet, what did he think?
He asked me every day after my session if the images had come in. They finally did and he couldn’t wait to see them. He thought the images were stunning. He told me he’s going to have a hard time picking out which ones he wants for an album.

What did you think of the whole boudoir experience?
The experience was exhilarating! I was nervous for the first few photos and after that really enjoyed every minute. I left feeling sensual, confident and like a million bucks. Erica made me feel very comfortable and I felt at ease with her through the whole experience. There were a few poses I wasn’t sure about but seeing the images of those particular ones made me feel so much better about myself. Certainly a big confidence booster.

How do you feel about your images?
When I first received the images, I opened them by myself before I let my fiance see them. I was nervous to see how they turned out. I opened them and had to do a double take. At first I thought I had received someone else’s images until I really looked and realized it was me. I couldn’t believe the beautiful woman in the images was me! I had this thought in my head at that moment that made me wonder if that’s how my fiance sees me. I felt very womanly and absolutely gorgeous. I was so excited that my images made me feel so empowered and beautiful. They will be a wonderful reminder to me whenever I feel less than stellar.

Which images are your favourites?
My favorite pictures are of the white corset where I’m lying on my back. They look very natural and really relaxed. I bought the corset as a surprise for a bridal piece to the session, since these are an engagement gift. I also love how the ones in the mirror turned out. I was a little nervous about them and was a little uncomfortable, but after seeing them, I would have done more like that! They are sexy with a hint of sassy. As art, I love the image where I am facing away from the camera resting on my hand. It looks like one of those photos you see in the galleries.

Is there any other info or interesting story about your boudoir photography experience?
I had booked my session right after we had gotten engaged in August and was planning to spend the morning sleeping in and having the day to myself. My fiance’s parents ended up coming into town that weekend and staying for a few days. I told them I had some shopping to do with a friend and headed out to my session. It was a little secret between my fiance and I that made it seem a little more special. The excitment of having this wonderful secret and getting swept up in the fun of it was a real treat. It’s a funny story to remember now looking back at it. It was a little stressful at the time figuring out logistics and a cover story.

Four of my past boudoir clients’ stories are featured along with the images I took of them in the May edition of Best Health magazine which has just become available on the newsstands. This process started about 6 months ago so I am finally glad to see it in print. I am checking with the magazine to see if I can get permission to reproduce the pages on my blog, but until then go grab a copy and turn to page 150 where the article begins.
